Ampere minute

Ampere - minute

In the electroplating industry the thickness of the metallic mass deposited on the work piece is directly proportional to the electrical current that is being consumed.By use of an ampere minutes one can measure total electrical current flowing.By knowing the surface area that is being plated, the thickness of the plated deposit can be calculated.Another important use for the ampere minute is the consumption of the chemical reagent used in the plating process in proportional to the current flow. This way one knows when and how much chemical need to be added to the bath for replenishing.
